NPLC#4 LAKE MAYER SAVANNAH SAILING CENTER 30 JANUARY 2010 5:03 AM 5-4-01 REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS: Nine teams competed at the NPLC#4 Lake Mayer Regatta in Savannah Georgia. The day began with the predicted rain but much less wind than the 11 knot breezes that were forcasted. Racing began at 9:45 and was postponed at 11:30 due to lack of wind, with only 2 races completed in each division. The wind finally returned along with more rain at about 1 pm. Winds were still very shifty but picked up to about 10kts. With the winds and rain came a drastic drop in temperature. Five more races in each division were completed during the afternoon to round out the regatta at 7 races per division.
